Introducing our newest members of the LITC:

Please welcome Robert and Mary Palmer, read their bio and say “hi” at the next club event.

A Brief Boating Bio from the Palmers:

Rob has been on the water for at least 65 years, almost all of them sailboats. He raced small boats as a youngster, graduating to racing catamarans with his Dad and brother. Mary was introduced to sailing when she and Rob got together in the late ’60s, first sailing on the racing cats and then on a nearly continuous succession of cruising sailboats. Their three daughters grew up as crew.

Mary and Rob have had a long and fond connection with Lopez Island, heaving moored their Atlantic 42 sailing cat at Spencer’s Landing for about 8 years.

After a hiatus of 8 years or so, with their boat in California, they’re delighted to be back to Lopez, and to Spencer’s Landing, this time as novice power boaters on their Nordic Tug 37. “Lady Mary.”

Welcome to the Club!

The Palmers sound like our kind of people. We look forward to meeting them.

After completing all the new member applicant requirements as set forth in the club’s by-laws, Rob and mary were voted in as members on June 12, 2022.
