Ahoy! Beautiful Lopez Island called to me for many years as I cruised the Islands with my children each summer, longing to live here someday. We had a 22’ SeaSwirl Cuddy Cabin decked out with full canvas, perfect for boat camping all over Puget Sound, the Salish Sea, and the Gulf Islands. As the kids got bigger, we started chartering larger power cruisers to continue our adventures. My love for cruising started at an early age in Southern California where I grew up sailing to Catalina Island each summer with my parents on our Newport 27. I am so excited to now be living on Lopez Island and sharing Barbara’s Carver’s beautiful Ranger Tug, aptly named Joy….as joy is certainly what I feel as I look forward to getting to know you all and cruising with the club this season.
