We’ve lived on Lopez for 13 years, we are year round residents, I am a 6th grade teacher at Lopez School and Colleen is a jewelry maker, selling exclusively at the Lopez Farm Market and Lopez holiday markets.  We are active community members, I am on the FLIP Executive Board and the Lopez Seafaring and Voyaging Board of Directors, in addition to being heavily connected to Lopez families and young people through school.  We are active and year round boaters, I do boat stuff three to four days a week in the winter, and daily in the summer, Sunday Sailing and spontaneous trips to Friday Harbor, or anchored out when the winter northerly sun shines.  I am often one of the first responders with Todd or Doug, who rescue boats aground during/after winter storms. I sail on the collection of cruising sailboats in the Bay, I have an Etchells sailboat for racing, a Grand Banks for cruising, and I’m selling my Tartan sailboat after six years of restoring and cruising.  We have a slip at the Islander during winter months and we’re tied to a buoy in Davis Head or Fish Bay during shoulder season, then cruising in the Gulf Islands or further north during the summer months. Our Grand Banks is a cozy, happy hour machine, ready for hosting small groups.  We’re excited to join our boating community!
