Paul grew up sailing in the Texas Gulf near NASA and Kemah and later on Lake Michigan and then the Chesapeake Bay. He has also done some racing both classic wooden boats and J boats, including attending J School in Newport. Some of the boats we had growing up included an Endeavor 32, a Tayana 37, and a 50’ vintage wooden racer Q class named Robin. A Christmas tradition growing up was an afternoon sail after opening presents. Paul is founder and CEO of an AI Cybersecurity startup company, PRE Security.
Anastasia grew up on the east coast, and around all kinds of boats in the Virginia Tidewater region. Anastasia is a Program Officer and Treasurer for the G20 Interfaith Forum, a non-profit that leverages faith communities in pursuit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in coordination with the G20.
We moved to Lopez in large part to live again in a coastal area and to get back out on the water after living landlocked for years, mostly in Austin Texas, and because our daughter lives in Ballard now and had also recommended Lopez to us. We are refurbishing an old Pearson Renegade 27’er and are excited to get back out on the water on our boat, Haiku.
